Myths & Heroines
I have taken up gelatin monotype printing as a way to “jam” images, words and photographic transfers together bypassing photoshop and producing unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. My theme in this series, called Myths and Heroines, is very much about patriarchal archetypes and myths in pop culture. I print online images and select magazine images for this purpose, then heavily intervene them with crayons, markers, paints, and stamps.
